This standard covers the steel sheets and strip used for Isuzu’s products. In this standard, steel sheets and strip include those to be worked in Isuzu’s plants and those worked to semi-complete or complete products in suppliers’ plants before their delivery to Isuzu.

Remark Characteristics not specified herein shall be as per individual material purchase specifications. However, if it is necessary to change any of the numerical values specified herein only within such a range that the quality requirement for the product can be met even with the change, the value may be specified in the individual material purchase specifications in agreement between Isuzu and the manufacturer, accordingly the value herein is taken as the agreed one.

PURPOSE

This standard is made to establish the quality specifications for the hot rolled steel sheets (including the pieces cut out from strip) and strip used for the structural members of Isuzu’s products (here in referred to as steel sheets and strip) for the purpose of assuring the quality of Isuzu’s products.
